Acct Mgr/Media Payroll Service

- Manage major payroll accounts and address any client concerns.
- Provide information, rates, and detailed quotes to clients regarding all our services, including crewing, staffing, and video production
- Complete weekly reporting of payroll, including manual audits, on tight turnarounds in large volumes
- Send out and review new paperwork for W2 employees and 1099 contractors
- Ensure that all contracts and company processes are submitted properly to clients
- Assist with any incoming client requests for freelance and fulltime staffing as it relates to payroll clients
- Provide accounting paperwork internally, including all backup for employee and contractor payments
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues that arise regarding employee and contractor payments, equipment and expenses
- Meet with new and existing clients to generate additional revenue streams, including co-authoring proposals for payroll services
- Assist with marketing of our payroll services in print, social media, and email
- Work closely with our insurance provider to gain full understanding of all workers' comp and liability insurance issues and to ensure proper coverage for shoots
- A background in media production business with substantial contact with payroll and/or accounting practices and workflow
- Must have track record of excellent customer service to freelancers and clients in the media industry
- Strong computer skills including advanced level Excel and MS Office
- Knowledge of IRS independent contractor classification issues and basics of Dept of Labor standards is important
- Operations-oriented: have ability to identify inefficiencies, find solutions, and implement corrective processes as-needed, working with others to do so
- Must be a multi-tasker able to manage many projects simultaneously without sacrificing turnaround time
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
