Stifle Inc. (prod.) is casting The Day of the Wicked Stepmothers, a feature-length film that will be shot on DV. Synopsis: "The film is a dark comedy centering on the escalating battles between a wicked stepmother, Lillith, and her shiftless grown stepdaughter, Snow. While Arthur, the aging father, drifts between past glories in the advertising world and visions of a new world, possibly stemming from brain deterioration or enlightenment, Lillith sees herself aging and lashes out with a renewed vengeance." Alex Sclar, dir. Shoots Dec. 12-16, 2011 in NYC, with three to four pickup days Spring 2012.
Seeking-Lillith: 60+, the wicked stepmother battling her daughter, husband, and the effects of the material world through mysticism and spite; Arthur: 60+, caught between two women and two worlds; Snow: 30+, attractive, grown from the little girl running from every sound in the forest to an individual fighting material attachment through slack attitudes and inebriation, yet often brought to the edge of her emotions by her stepmother.
