Content Writer
Responsibilities: -Manage ongoing workload for a minimum of 6 show sites, including writing episode recaps, promotional copy, and photo captioning.
-Select video highlights and identify compelling screen grabs.
-Write powerful, enticing copy for the home pages of NBC shows and, potentially, the home page of .
-Review show sites for timeliness, accuracy, and usability; work closely with site producers and QA department to ensure that all copy and features are error-free.
-Create and collaborate on web-relevant ideas for new and returning shows, and effectively pitch ideas in weekly team meetings.
-Contribute to ongoing development of promotional campaigns, including social media, mobile and interactive.
-Provide writing support for special projects, including Sales/Marketing campaigns, online original series, etc.
-Work closely with site producers, Video team and Community team to assure updated sitewide content and appropriate promotion of that content.
-Work with Content Editors, NBC Publicity, and Programming as needed to assure that sites consistently feature compelling and accurate content at all times.
-Research and write compelling content for interactive experiences, including games, quizzes, and synch to broadcast (two-screen) applications.
