Director of Development
The core responsibilities of this post include, but are not limited to, generating unearned income for annual operations via all possible foundation, corporate, and governmental sources and, in collaboration with the Membership Manager, individual donors; prepare ongoing activity or final reports for grant makers; strategizing and implementing new funding programs; liaison with the Board and administrate monthly Board meetings, and, facilitating donor-related events.
The other major responsibility of this post is fund raising generating unearned income for the the theatre's capital campaign and participating in all capital campaign-related meetings and functions.
Those interested in applying should have at least five year's experience working in performing arts fund raising, preferably theatre, a bachelor's degree or higher, advanced working knowledge of MS Office, working knowledge of a fund raising database (we use Fundraiser Professional), excellent writing and organizational skills, can effectively multi-task, understands financial statements and can generate financial reports or budgets as needed, possesses capital campaign experience, and absolutely must be a team player in an energetic office environment.
