This job is for an onsite position at the customer 24x7 NOC. 7 years related experience is required. This is a swing shift position, but candidate must have shift flexiblity. A degree in the field, industy certification, or relevant experience is also desired.
Candidate should have Cisco (routing and switching) configuration and troubleshooting experience at the Tier II level. Experience working in a Network Operations environment supporting large customer enterprise networks (500+ nodes). Experience and knowledge of MPLS; DMVPN; BGP; OSPF; EIGRP; IP addressing; and network management configuration (AAA; SSH; TACACS; SNMP; NTP; etc). Experience in troubleshooting physical layer issues and walking onsite field techs through equipment. Candidate should be a self starter and feel comfortable working with minimal technical guidance.
Required Skills and Experience: 7 years NOC experience.
Experience with Cisco router command line interface and interpreting WAN and LAN trouble conditions.
Experience in handling customer technical inquiries and ability to handle professionally.
Intermediate written/verbal communication.
Required Clearance: The ability to obtain CBP Public Trust.
Desired: CCNA certification or equivalent experience. An existing DOD secret, or CBP/DHS clearance is preferred.
