A global newswire focused on corporate news coverage is looking to hire a News Editor to oversee a growing team of specialist reporters. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the policy and regulatory events that influence markets, and have a keen attitude towards investigative reporting, breaking news, lead generation and team leadership. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience managing coverage of the government, legal, or regulatory sectors.
As part of the job, the successful candidate will be responsible for editing articles from a team of journalists, helping shape their coverage, and will include some amount of their own writing duties.
The ideal candidate will need to have a team player attitude as the position requires extensive liaising with North American beat reporters as well as journalists around the globe.
