Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description:

We are developing rich media educational content applications on mobile device platforms. Our ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for and experience with both educational applications and games. We need someone that is thorough about UI/UX quality, prepared to do some manual testing but also able to develop automated regression tests.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of application releases, feature and system-level testing, particularly on the Android OS.

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Engineer:

Participate in the product lifecycle from design to commercial release

Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, standards and processes

Develop test cases and collaborate in the development of automated testing scripts for our products

Work with technical support, enterprise customers and core development engineers to address product scalability, usability, reliability, functionality, and performance-related issues

Requirements of the Quality Assurance Engineer:

Computer Science or Math degree (or equivalent experience)

Experience with Android and/or iOS devices and applications

Test automation experience – familiarity with Selenium and/or Web Driver framework with Python or Java code would be great. Even greater would be experience with actual Android test libraries (e.g. Robotium, Robolectric).

3+ years’ experience in software development, with work on entire product lifecycle

Comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies and how to adapt them to the specific needs of our organization and products

Experience with Agile Development methodology is preferred
