FEATURES EDITOR The Citizens Voice, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., has an immediate opening for a features editor with strong organizational and leadership skills. We are in the market to hire an editor/writer to help grow a recently launched weekly events/venues guide as well as develop new features content for the daily newspaper. The ideal candidate will have the ability to design pages and write quality feature stories. We are searching for candidates with the ability to connect with readers and their wants, someone who would be excited to delve into the dining and entertainment scene of our communities as well as the social and home lives of our readers. The greater Wilkes-Barre area is home to a casino which recently introduced table games, has a growing nightlife scene, prides itself on quality local dining, and has a growing arts and entertainment scene. We are centrally located within a two-hour drive of New York City and Philadelphia and would like to tap those markets for major entertainment and cultural opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a skilled editor, writer, juggler and organizer capable of working with a small staff to sustain this new section for the daily newspaper.
