FleishmanHillard, a global integrated communications agency is looking for an Account Executive to join our corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environment, social, governance (ESG) teams in St. Louis. A remote position is a possibility with periodic in-person meetings at our offices in St. Louis.
The successful candidate will provide thoughtful ESG/CSR counsel to clients and prospects; craft meaningful strategies that advance key business objectives and manage tactical execution for outstanding results. We believe every company has an ESG/CSR story to tell. We help our clients build better ESG/CSR programs and then share the stories of their commitments and impacts with the audiences that matter most. The candidate must have a solid understanding of trends and best practices in ESG/CSR strategy, sustainability, communications and reporting and a strong desire to grow and learn in the ESG/CSR space.

Counseling clients on a wide range of ESG/CSR topics
Developing and executing successful ESG/CSR initiatives that help clients make a positive impact on both the reputation and the bottom line
Overseeing the strategy and execution of annual ESG/CSR reports and related standalone reports on topics such as Inclusion and Diversity, Human Rights and Social Impact
Effectively communicating and engaging with key stakeholders and news media
Work well in a dynamic team environment, at times acting as a project team lead while other times as a team member
Leading new-business development efforts
Leadership and employee development
2+ years of experience in ESG/CSR or corporate citizenship communications and strategy (agency and corporate experience ideal but not essential)
Bachelor's degree in journalism, PR, marketing, business, sustainability, or a related field
Excellent writing, editing, and presentation capabilities and proven success with media relations and media relations contacts, executive visibility, and other elements of corporate communications is a plus
Demonstrated experience managing projects, clients, teams, and budgets and experience in investor relations, employee engagement, stakeholder outreach and relations, and public affairs
General understanding of drafting content across social media platforms and social media engagement and experience and fluency in digital communications
Demonstrated ability to execute ESG/CSR and related reporting that aligns with or is informed by reporting frameworks like GRI, SASB, TCFD and others
Certified training in GRI is a plus
Solid understanding of critical ESG/CSR subject matter, including issue/policy landscape, effective communications strategies, NGOs and corporate partnerships; issues and crisis management
Multitasker, self-starter, proactive, problem solver, and ability to work effectively in a team environment
