    Position Summary

    The Assistant Director of Service Line Marketing is a key leader of the marketing and External Affairs team responsible for setting overall marketing strategy and developing and executing marketing and communications objectives, strategies, and tactics for assigned clinical departments to drive growth and efficiencies. Collaborates cross-functionally with key internal partners to enable consistent application of the Weill Cornell Medicine brand and ensures seamless utilization of content across channels. Establishes metrics and goals/success criteria and milestones that align with institution and department goals and measures the effectiveness of marketing plans. This position is a key driver of enhancing marketing capabilities and expanding influence across the institution.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develops the marketing and communication strategy and manages the ongoing implementation of fact based, goal focused programs and initiatives for assigned WCM clinical departments.

    • Provides strategic direction, leadership, and motivation for a team of service line marketers. Hires, leads, coaches, and trains the service line marketers team.

    • Influences and organizes a community of marketers and communicators resident outside of External Affairs.

    • Collaborates with Clinical Department Chairs, leadership, and physicians to establish achieved marketing direction.

    • Partners extensively with Physician Organization Marketing, Brand, Media, and Social Media teams, Gift Officers, and other External Affairs colleagues to effectively and efficiently meet institutional and departmental objectives.

    • Provides guidance for and/or resolves complex problems or conflicts.

    • Develops and manages complex short- and long-term marketing objectives to capitalize on identified opportunities.

    • Guides the development and execution of clinical departments' internal and external marketing and communications.

    • Communications from Chairs, internal and external presentations, market research, web content, collateral, events (live and webinars), signage, and departmental social media accounts.

    • Evolves and expands the current service line model so that the Clinical Departments, and Institution benefits from centralized support.

    • Serves as service line subject matter expert and resource

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field

    Experience

    • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. Master's degree or similar advance degree preferred.

    • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in related field; academic or health care marketing preferred.

    • Experience in a brand manager role or at a health care marketing agency.

    • Demonstrated success in managing/leading cross-functional teams.
