    NBCUniversal Global Distribution is responsible for the sales and distribution of NBC Universal products to all forms of television and new media platforms in over 200 territories across the globe, its revenue portfolio exceeding $7Bn per year. This includes a rich library of more than 4,400 feature films and 120,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, and locally produced content from around the world.

    Overview

    The Assistant Manager will be responsible for handling the mastering for feature and episodic product, as needed by the servicing team. This includes but not limited to inquiry driven and project-based asset research and retrieval, feature and episodic mastering projects, and coordination of captioning as well as foreign language dubbing and subtitling projects from inception to completion.

    This is a dynamic and fast-paced position that requires an individual who can handle multiple projects simultaneously and communicate progress to the servicing teams. This position requires someone with excellent organizational skills, time management skills, who is a positive thinker, team player, and will exercise good judgment and initiative. This role is part of the Asset Management team, supporting the Servicing department.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support TVD Servicing teams with material inquiries, availability, and retrieval of content.

    • Project research to confirm availability of materials.

    • Work with the Studio's Content Team on restoration inquiries.

    • Various aspects of episodic and feature mastering: coordinating the creation and delivery of video, subtitles and dubbed audio assets in multiple languages, while ensuring quality and timely deliveries.

    • Create and track purchase orders to Global Media Operations and vendors for library and current episodic and feature content.

    • Liaise with vendors to explain project requirements and ensure vendors maintain appropriate processes and procedures, delivering on-time and within budget. Respond to vendors queries and provide guidance on how to solve issues.

    • Manage inventories/asset update certain international territories as needed for Servicing.

    • Deal with inquiries from internal teams, responding to all questions and concerns regarding Feature Film and Television Episodic product.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve source related issues and client rejections.

    • Responsible for managing timelines, tracking, and archiving of newly created assets.

    • Assist management in improving and scaling existing workflows and tools as needed.

    • Assist with special projects as needed and perform other related duties as requested by management.

    • Provide support to the Asset Management team, as needed.

    • Perform additional related tasks as requested by management.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Theatrical/Episodic mastering processes and asset management, postproduction in a studio setting.

    • Minimum 2 years' experience with file based mastering workflows, digital encoding formats and electronic delivery methods.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Excel, Word, OneDrive, and Outlook

    This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
