Cad Designer

Description

We are looking for a CAD Designer/Drafter is needed to create detailed technical drawings, bills of materials, and shop prints for manufacturing projects using AutoCAD, Inventor, and potentially an ERP system. The ideal candidate has a degree or background in computer-aided drafting, strong technical design skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams while troubleshooting issues. Responsibilities include basic design work, maintaining organized records, supporting production on the shop floor, and performing other duties as required in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Create technical drawings, bills of materials, and shop prints using CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor)

• Utilize Global Sight ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system for manufacturing projects

• Perform basic design work and troubleshoot design issues

• Support production by working on the shop floor as needed

• Maintain organized documentation and records of all drafted designs

• Collaborate effectively across departments and teams

• Degree in computer-aided drafting or related field preferred, with proven CAD design/drafting experience

• 70% working within Autodesk Inventor

• 30% working within shop floor as projects move through production
