Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a full-time, talented, team-focused CAD Designer to join our transportation group. The position is primarily focused on transportation infrastructure projects and has a variety of designer, drafting and modeling opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Produce civil drawings and 3 dimensional models in Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads and Autodesk AutoCAD Civil3D

• Organizing and maintaining a digital file database for each project using Bentley ProjectWise software

• Uses knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks including 2D and 3D model development, completing design changes, general arrangement drawing production, redlining, plotting, and drafting using CAD platforms

• Facilitating and ensuring the quality of the drawings and graphic work produced for the team

• Communicating with other team members during the 3D model and plan production

• Understanding ProjectWise file structures and modifications to files for exchanges with other team members

• Creation of roadway alignments, profiles, templates and corridors

• CAD surface and digital terrain modeling

• Ensure CAD standards and styles, quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production

• Work to meet project schedules

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Experience with civil infrastructure projects - roadway, utility, and rail projects highly desirable

• Proficiency in Bentley InRoads/Open Roads

• Strong attention to detail and presentation

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a "team player" approach to design and problem solving

• Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads to meet deadlines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products

Education and Experience

• Associates or Technical Degree

• 5 years of CAD experience

This position has flexible working arrangements for the right candidate that may include the option of remote, hybrid or in office options. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Salary Range(s):

• $32.40 Per Hour - $46.97 Per Hour Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in WA

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

• Washington state employees are eligible to accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked except for Seattle employees who accrue sick leave in accordance with the city's paid sick leave law.
