  • Job Summary

    AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Communications and Public Relations Project Associate for immediate employment in the Atlanta, GA office. This position will play a key role in communications strategies and plans related to transportation planning projects and programs. The ideal candidate possesses technical excellence in the area of public relations, communications and/or public involvement; critical to the firm's successful completion of planning projects. May possess full technical control over project aspects related to communications and public relations in support of the project team. Sources and follows up on business development leads as related to transportation planning projects or other firm-related pursuits. Financial and project management goals are defined by the organization annually. Generally requires 6+ years of experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent, advanced degree preferred.

    Minimum Requirements

    • BA/BS in communications, public relations, marketing, business or related field.

    • 6 plus years of demonstrated experience in public relations, community engagement programs, and/or marketing

    • Previous leadership in community engagement, strong public speaking and writing skills, events management, and the ability to recruit, manage and cultivate volunteer leadership.

    • Possesses technical excellence in the area of specialty that is critical to the firm's success.
