  • Copyeditor

    Job Category: Marketing

Location: US - Massachusetts - Cambridge

    Meet Our Team:

A smart, experienced group of in-house copywriters, designers, and videographers. We may work in tech, but we live for original ideas and a great sense of humor. We've even got our own creative space to brainstorm and hang out in.

    Picture Yourself at Pega:

You're a detail-oriented, flexible copyeditor who will help us inspire the world's largest companies to work smarter and serve their customers better. A proud word nerd and grammar guru, you'll make our copy more accurate, clear, consistent, and on voice - and you'll help others become stronger writers, too.

    What You'll Do at Pega:

    • Edit marketing copy for a wide range of projects, from the simple (emails, postcards, signage) to the complex (websites, direct mail, event collateral, etc.).

    • Work quickly and accurately to make sure all copy is error-free, consistent, compelling, and aligned with house style.

    • When needed, partner with Pega's content marketing team to edit long-form B2B content like eBooks, whitepapers, and case studies.

    • Maintain and update our internal writing style guide.

    • Proofread important client-facing work, and occasionally help out with short-form copywriting as required.

    Who You Are:

    • You combine a speedy, proactive work style with a razor-sharp attention to detail where words are concerned. With at least 2-3 years of editorial experience, you can juggle multiple projects at once, meet short deadlines, and collaborate with colleagues on creative teams and beyond.

    • You're flexible and can thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

    • You can edit short-form creative copy, long-form content, and everything in between.

    • Demonstrating excellent editorial judgment, you know when to apply a light edit and when to use a heavier hand.

    • You're proactive and motivated - able to take any assignment and run with it.

    • You're comfortable working independently and know when to escalate issues as needed.

    • You can communicate positively and respectfully with stakeholders and are a good listener as well as an editorial expert.

    Pega Offers You:

    • A chance to shape the voice of a fast-growing company and be part of the innovation wave in Cambridge's Kendall Square.

    • The world's biggest brands as audiences for your work.

    • The culture, meritocracy, and growth potential of a start-up with the resources, stability, and tenure of a well-established organization

    • Competitive salary + bonus potential, employee equity in the company, 3 weeks paid vacation plus 10 holidays, 2 community service days, medical/eye/dental coverage, free parking/transportation subsidies, and even pet insurance!
