A journalist who can be a leader in writing about military aviation and aerospace technologies. Creates and curates new aviation product and service news to connect buyers and sellers and drive engagement in the global community. Digital skills and mindset are a must.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reports to Content Director / Managing Editor for Defense & Space
Land scoops about the military aviation and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, space and unmanned platforms as well as associated weapons technologies.
Writes compelling, analytical articles with context to illuminate Aviation Week's defense industry audience.
Create digital content including blogs, galleries, briefs, infographics and articles for Aviation Weekâ€™s online and print publications.
Experience: 3-5 years of aerospace journalism
Education: Bachelorâ€™s degree preferred
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, social media. Ability to work as a team
Travel: Ability to travel
Up to 15% travel required
