    If you enjoy all things content creation-speech writing, graphic design, web design, data visualization, photography, videography, blogging-and you are passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), then this is the position for you. The DEI Communications Consultant will partner with associates, clients and community members to capture, communicate and amplify First Horizon's core values of Caring about People and Elevating Equity . Reporting directly to the Chief DEI Officer, this person will work closely with our Marketing, Corporate Comms, Public Relations, Associate Resource Groups (ARGs) and DEI Council members to document and elevate our impact. In short, you will be the lead storyteller for our team.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

    Content Creation, Visualization and Storytelling

    • Assist with the development of our annual Elevating Equity Impact Report

    • Maintain the Office of DEI's presence on our internal and external websites

    • Content creation and curation-capture photos and video of DEI-related events and programming

    • Assist with graphic design of PowerPoint presentations, event announcements and collateral

    • Produce newsletters, blog posts and talking points for speeches and panel discussions

    • Assist with the planning and execution of DEI Council meetings, Town Halls and webinars

    • Partner with ARG Leaders to promote and maximize engagement in events and programming

    Networking and Travel

    This position will require occasional travel to markets across our 12-state footprint to capture content and engage with stakeholders such as:

    • Associate Resource Groups

    • DEI Councils

    • College and university leaders, faculty, and alumni

    • Small and medium-sized business owners

    • Community and economic development agencies

    • First Horizon Foundation applicants and grantees

    • Conference attendees

    All other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE

    • Demonstrated creative skills such as graphic design, videography, speech writing, or data visualization

    • 3-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Demonstrated commitment to DEI and high degree of cultural awareness, sensitivity, and flexibility.

    • Coursework, training or certificates in DEI-related subject matter.

    • Self-starter and ability to work independently.

    • Ability to handle complex issues and navigate conflict resolution at all levels of the organization.

    • Strong project management skills to handle complex projects simultaneously from start to finish.
