The Senior Designer is an original thinker and project leader who conceives creative concepts and translates them into a visual format. Working in Design Central and under the supervision of the Design Manager, the Senior Designer is a team player who is skilled in matching strategic direction with appropriate design results for digital and print marketing initiatives. The Senior Designer is a leader capable of guiding associates and vendors to execute on programs to support firm growth, brand awareness and client engagement. Attention to detail, combined with a strong working knowledge of design-related applications is essential.
Designing solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives
Creating highly usable interface solutions focused on user experience
Leading projects with limited input from the Design Manager
Guiding and directing colleagues on projects with communication, delegation and follow-up
Mentoring and sharing skills across the Design Central team
Rationalize, visualize and verbalize solutions with the project leaders
Balancing creative requirements with client business requirements
Designing: brochures; storyboards; interactive page layouts; photo retouching and enhancements; animated GIFs or SVGs; branded templates; event collateral etc.
Providing quality assurance on creative deliverables
Maintaining and following asset management structure, file naming and project tracking
Building and maintaining a team rapport with creative team, editors and marketing leads
Strong design portfolio
Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Design
5 years design and interactive work experience
Developed and diverse communication skills
Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines and multiple components
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier or After Effects and Dreamweaver
Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS as well as responsive website design and functionality experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Campaign concept and development experience
Ability to thrive in a highly-matrixed environment and high-performing marketing organization
Comfortable working in a PC environment
