    As part of our ongoing commitment to help our customers meet their sustainability objectives, we've developed an innovative, multi-year Order-to-Cash (OTC) roadmap focused on transforming our core processes and technologies. We're looking to hire a Director of Modernization to help us drive and deliver the new technologies that will power seamless experiences for our customers, modernized ways of working for our employees, and sustained value for the communities we serve. In this position, you'll play a pivotal role in planning, implementing, and optimizing our OTC platform, ensuring efficiency, cost optimization, and intuitive design. More importantly, you'll leverage this transformation journey to drive innovative solutions that advance Republic Services' digital goals!

    Who You Are:

    • Proven track record of leading successful ERP transformations and delivering complex program initiatives.

    • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cashtechnologies,?best practices, and industry trends.

    • Working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Oracle); JIRA, and Salesforce experience.

    • Experience managing critical Order-to-Cash 3rd party vendor relationships.

    • Experienced people manager with a passion for developing the next generation of leaders.

    • Located in the Phoenix metro area (or willing to relocate) and able to be in-office 4 full days per week.

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Director, Modernization is responsible for leading elements of the Company's order-to-cash (OTC) platform transformation. The Director will work with the Modernization team, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the platform is effectively designed, deployed, and supported while leading a broader effort to decommission legacy order-to-cash systems. The Director will also ensure the program achieves targeted user experience and financial objectives while maintaining a focus on process and controls. This role requires expertise across the order-to-cash chain (i.e., order management, invoicing, A/R., etc.) and enterprise deployment of ERP technologies and point solutions.

    PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work with cross-functional business owners and IT to ensure enterprise technical deliverables are aligned with OTC and system retirement roadmaps.

    • Lead the strategic design and prioritization of digital deliverables.

    • Design, implement and support complex business processes which improve the experience of our customers and frontline employees.

    • Based on business experience and knowledge, make best practice recommendations on configurations consistent with a tier 1 ERP platform.

    • Execute solution roadmap and support achievement of cost efficiencies that align with the Company's business strategy and targeted benefits.

    • Ensure business and technical stakeholder needs are aligned by driving productive discussions that surface potential conflicts and solution-based outcomes.

    • Partner with and guide key stakeholders on the design and implementation of key performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of the modernization program following implementation.

    • Develop, implement, and coordinate project plans, provide timely updates, monitor critical path items, and provide urgency and guidance to successful task completion leading to overall program completion.

    • Manage and partner with Company's external vendors and collaborate with vendor resources (with emphasis on non-IT related vendor relationships).

    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Proven record of successfully completing full life-cycle implementations with tier 1 ERP solutions; including leading significant tracks on larger projects, leading medium sized engagements, and/or leading production implementation and support efforts.

    • Experience managing a complex technical portfolio with interdependent workstreams and deliverables.

    • Process expertise in the order-to-cash areas of contracting, order management, billing, collections, and finance management.

    • Strong collaboration, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

    • Experience managing projects, conflict resolution, and managing people.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 8 years of progressive responsibility in the ERP transformation, enterprise program management, or related space.

    • Leadership role in one or more ERP transformations.
