    What you'll be able to do:

    As the Editor for @Ford Online Communications, you'll keep internal stakeholder audiences informed and inspired as you help drive significant, positive change across the organization. With exceptional storytelling and a disciplined editorial process, you'll elevate confidence and excitement in our products, our services, and our company plan. This role is responsible for developing creative, streamlined, contemporary communications for Ford's employees, partners and alumni. This includes managing daily internal editorial across the @FordOnline intranet, the BlueOvalNow employee app, our manufacturing newsletter, digital signage and alumni communications. You will:

    • Re-evaluate and reimagine processes and practices to deliver communications consistency, impact and excitement

    • Identify unique and intriguing storytelling opportunities to drive attention, excitement and business results

    • Build and lead our editorial process and content team, including cross-functional partners, interactive designers, videographers and internal reporters

    • Identify and exploit emerging content opportunities and the latest creative platforms

    • Deliver multi-channel content propositions to optimize our storytelling objectives

    • Inspire your team to create impactful executions through film and video, graphic design, visual storytelling and public relations/marketing

    • Act as a true organizational leader and partner within the overall Ford Employee Communications team

    • Inspire a culture of optimism, competitiveness and creative excellence

    • Monitor and evaluate content performance and engagement

    • Utilize data and research to ensure that campaigns are successful

    • Balance staff and production budgets

    The minimum requirements we seek:

    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or English

    • Five or more years of experience in communications, including experience in editorial or content management roles

    • Three of more years of leading publishing, channel planning, or content amplification strategies

    Our preferred requirements:

    • Successful candidate should be able to lead/contribute to a multi-disciplined team and have a background that includes editorial experience in a news-making environment plus public relations or internal communications, digital content marketing or content creation.

    • Demonstrated track record developing comprehensive, integrated strategies designed to tell an enterprise story to internal audiences

    • Strong written and verbal communications skills with an ability to develop compelling stories that are persuasive, engaging and quotable

    • Can-do attitude and a sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment

    • Energetic and skilled storyteller

    • Comfort operating in a fast-paced and less-defined environment

    • Experience applying quantitative methods, including data, research, impact, and measurement to content strategy

    • Demonstrable experience with and knowledge of social and digital media platforms and tools

    • Continuous demonstration of superior problem-solving, decision-making and project management skills

    • Experience managing a multi-disciplined, creative team

    • Ability to work with dispersed talent (e.g. multiple locations, different talents) on virtual team projects
