This is a deeply collaborative role that calls for close partnerships and the ability to orchestrate work across the broader leadership team, key stakeholders in Communications and Marketing, PR/AR, and Microsoft subsidiary teams around the world.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and self-directed, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage ambiguity while striving for high-quality results. This person must work well in a team to drive impact quickly and uphold the team's mandate to operate with the highest levels of integrity and trust.
This individual will be responsible for executive-level communications content for internal and external audiences, including customers, business and IT decision makers, knowledge workers, frontline workers, and investors, as well as internal Microsoft stakeholders. This includes editorial content and programming and partnering with event producers on end-to-end event production.
Key responsibilities include:
Write speeches, blogs, LinkedIn posts and articles, press quotes, social media content, video scripts, and other talking points and digital content for CVP responsible for Data, AI and MR business
Manage the speaking event calendar and develop and own the operational rhythm of business, as well as workback scheduled for speaking engagements; ensure operational rigor in our process and sufficient lead time in our preparedness approach
Draft briefing documents in partnership with analyst, PR, and customer account teams
Demonstrate ability to think and conceptualize in the digital medium to develop creative concepts for digital events and presentations, including any operational and logistical support needed
Develop materials for internal and external communications including briefing materials, scripting/messaging for internal keynotes, presentations, media engagements, social media, and events
Manage and evaluate incoming speaking requests to determine and manage appropriate format, content, and deliverables end-to-end with key stakeholdersProactively seek out speaking and authorship opportunities aligned to thought leadership priorities
Research content subject matter to find the most impactful stories and synthesize talking points and messaging from other teams
Partner with the Corporate PR and AR team on press and analyst engagements
Measure the outcomes of engagements to evaluate impact, learn, and improve
Executive maturity, ability to influence for impact, curiosity and self-awareness, desire to test and learn using data as a success metric, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
