GBS Training Summer Editor Intern

Job Summary

This position provides editorial review for GBS training materials. The intern uses discipline specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist with various projects, presentations, and business improvement opportunities. The intern also performs other career related responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Edits material based on the Department Style Guide

• Handles project summary presentation and paper

• Proofreads materials for select training programs and identifies errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax according to style guide

• Monitors training materials to ensure consistency and adherence to formatting standards is maintained

Preferences

• Demonstrates strong applied knowledge of the structure and content of the English language (meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar)

• Possesses excellent communication (written/verbal), time management and organizational skills

• Displays critical thinking, reasoning skills and keen attention to details

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Desktop applications (Windows)

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Journalism, Communications, or English with at least two years of course work completed towards a degree with prior internship experience

• Recent graduate or pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, or English with at least two years of course work completed towards a degree with prior internship experience
