Hard Surfaces Design Intern
Assist designers taking hard surface flooring products from concept to final product.
Assist with press out requests, bevel color selections and updating image inventory.
Utilizing AVA or photoshop, make adjustments to color film under the supervision of designers. Work on the early development of pattern repeat adjustments and sampling.
Work alongside a designer to better understand the Shaw Business and gain an understanding of Shaw's internal departments as it relates to design.
Support the Shaw Home Center business Business by
Updating image inventory
Understanding platforms for each home-center
Understanding new innovation & applying it to specific channels
Product development from concept to the final product
Image selection, sampling, bevel approval, construction approval, document updating, etc.
Willingness to perform general clerical duties and other basic admin duties
Pursuing Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Textile, Fine Art or Print preferred
2-3 years college coursework preferred
Adobe Creative Suites knowledge required
Portfolio required during the interview process. The portfolio focus should be color and pattern.
Ability to build trusting relationships and work in a collaborative team environment
Digital printing background/experience (classroom or work) preferred
8 hour, day shift
