BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The internship program is a rewarding and challenging development program?for talented, high performing?students.?Interns are assigned to a?functional area?for a 10-week assignment. Each assignment will offer the opportunity for the students to?work on defined projects,?develop leadership skills and interact with?associates?across all levels of the organization. ?(THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION)

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, execute, and complete special projects as assigned.

• Gains industry knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments.

• Develops skills needed for career in industrial distribution.

• Supports assigned manager with business project work.

• Presents intern project results to business leaders.

• Perform independent research.

• Provide business assistance to various groups within the Marketing and Category Enablement departments.

• Collaborate with Marketing and Category Enablement team associates to develop presentations.

• Perform other responsibilities within the areas of eCommerce, Digital Marketing, Product Information, and Customer Experience Management.

• Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC?s vision and unity of purpose.

• Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma required.

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.

• Excellent academic record.

SKILLS:

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office software required.

• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management is required.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills required.

• Positive, high-energy approach to assignments and a

• willingness to learn quickly required.

Starting hourly pay - $20.00 per hour
