    Job Summary

    The Black & Veatch IT Internship Program is designed to provide the following to students:

    • Clear learning objectives and goals.

    • Meaningful experience of a working environment through daily responsibilities and challenging projects.

    • Introduction to Black & Veatch corporate culture and various tracks through Job Shadowing Feedback and Evaluations.

    • Intern works under close supervision of IT Manager.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provides support of varied nature on specific projects to gain a better understanding of working in a team environment and project management.

    • Work will be assigned requiring critical thinking and problem solving, under the supervision of IT management.

    Management Responsibilities

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 0 GPA (preferred).

    • Current enrollment in Communication, PR, or Marketing program with an interest or minor in a technology-related degree program is preferred.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Able to think and deliver using a problem-to-solution process

    • Strong planning and organization skills

    • Familiarity with technical terminology and applications (technology acumen)

    • Experienced in writing technical and business communications

    • Ability to work well with peer groups outside of the IT organization

    • Experience with CMS and basic web development

    • Experience with social media platforms like Yammer, LinkedIn, and Twitter

    • Skilled in MS Office365 and Adobe Creative Suite

    Minimum Qualifications

    Current enrollment in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations degree program. No experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
