JanSport and Eagle Creek Art Director: Become the Newest Member of the JanSport and Eagle Creek family.
In this role, you will develop and apply the marketing strategy of JanSport and Eagle Creek. It is your responsibility to help formulate concepts, execute and design against them for ad campaigns in print, film, outdoor and social. To deliver high quality performance, intimate working knowledge of the brand and market(s) is expected. You will bring expertise in graphic design skill sets such as creating visual concepts and storytelling, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and engage with our consumers. You will be instrumental in developing aesthetics for all categories and branding for events globally. On a regular basis, you will work with your counterparts in Product Design, translating the approved concepts to retail and packaging.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Create a seasonal product story and develop an ongoing, multi-season campaigns.
Works with Integrated team to develop creative concepts and executions of assigned product(s).
Lead and assist photo shoots, both location and studio top, including prep, styling, and editing.
Partner with marketing counterpart, reviewing and developing creative brief to assure alignment.
Present design concepts to senior leadership in Creative and Marketing determining the scope of projects and delivering the desired storytelling.
Oversee studio to iterate approved concepts.
Supports the Creative Team creation with the creation of original artwork such as logos, layouts, tech drawings, event apparel, set design, studio photography direction and retouching.
Maintain creative excellence while seeking ways to improve innovation and scalability
Plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to marketing and communication challenges, finding the most effective way to get messages across in all brand touchpoints (digital, consumer and trade facing)
Concept motion graphics such as gifs and small videos for email, onsite and advertising needs.
Expert with industry trends and software techniques as you will give guidance as how to target the Eagle Creek and JanSport and reach them in a meaningful way.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field and a minimum of 5 years of design experience
Expert in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Exceptional understanding of Mac platform
Understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro
Print experience necessary
Knowledgeable in 4 color printing and prepress process
Traditional art skills such as drawing, illustration and mixed media preferred
Participant in outdoor/music/art/street culture preferred
Ability to prioritize and manage workload while meeting deadlines
Ability to combine art and technology to communicate ideas through images and the layout of websites and printed pages.
