    Be part of an awesome 100% remote team that works with cutting edge technologies. As a Technical Writer at Archon, you will be a valued team member in our product development division. You will work independently and in collaboration with other team members to provide clear, concise documentation for our products. You will have the opportunity to learn new technologies, use updated tools, and help us modernize our documentation library.

    More About the Role

    This role includes working on multiple products to ensure consistent on-time delivery of user guides, white papers, and other documentation as needed. You will work with multiple innovative teams to solicit information, learn about our users and products, and create concise documentation that enable users to configure and operate our hardware and software.

    • Independently form relationships with cross-functional teams to work with subject matter experts, reviewers, and approvers.

    • Review existing documentation and work with hardware and software to learn our evolving product line.

    • Create, edit, and update technical documentation, including user guides, release notes, and other products, as needed.

    • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language.

    • Maintain documentation version control and track changes.

    • Stay current with product changes to keep documentation updated.

    • Conduct reviews and lead meetings to solicit feedback from stakeholders.

    • Attend product meetings, including daily stand-ups, product review meetings, and status updates.

    • Adept at using style guides and adapting to using our in-house style guide, including any changes we may implement.

    • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

    • Must be a US citizen and must be able to obtain clearance at the Secret Level

    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Writing, English, Communications, or Journalism) or equivalent work experience.

    • Proven experience as a technical writer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your documentation work (professional work or coursework writing samples required).

    • Excellent written communication skills, including excellent grammar and punctuation, document structure, and consistent voice and styles.

    • Proficient in documentation tools.

    • Familiarity with version control systems and documentation management tools.

    • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.

    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality documentation.

    • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new concepts, tools, and technology.

    • Desire to collaborate with documentation team to continually improve documentation.

    • Ability to obtain a security clearance, if needed.

    • Must be able to obtain clearance at the Secret Level

    These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have

    • Experience with documenting software products.

    • Knowledge of markup languages (e.g., XML, HTML) and version control systems (e.g., Git, SharePoint).

    • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and documentation authoring tools (e.g., FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, DITA).

    • Experience in Agile development environments.

    • Knowledge of industry-specific standards and best practices for technical documentation.
