    We are looking for a customer-focused Lead Procedural Technical Artist that will help guide and build the future of Turn10 Studios and Playground Games' procedural ecosystem. As the Lead Procedural Technical Artist, you and your team will play a crucial role in the development of our next-generation procedural pipelines and tools that power our games. Collaborating closely with the art and programming teams, you will lead the creation and implementation of procedural systems to enhance the visual quality and efficiency of content creation processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and implement advanced procedural content creation systems using SideFX Houdini to generate high-quality environments, textures, and assets that align with the project goals and technical constraints.

    • Collaborate with technical team and content teams to drive the integration of Houdini workflows into the content creation pipeline, ensuring seamless integration between artists and procedural tools that empower them to create performant, AAA content for all our titles.

    • Identify opportunities to optimize existing content creation pipelines through the integration of procedural techniques.

    • Provide guidance and support to technical artists, fostering knowledge-sharing and skill development.

    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in procedural content creation, graphics technology, and game development to contribute to innovative solutions to the team.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Digital Arts, Technical Art, Game Design, or related field AND 4+ years technical art or industry-related design experience

    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Digital Arts, Technical Art, Game Design, or related field AND 3+ years technical art or industry-related design experience

    • OR equivalent experience.

    • 4+ years experience using related real-time engine (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Frostbite) or similar game engine technology.

    • 3+ years programming experience using related software packages (e.g, SideFX Houdini,Substance Suite, 3D Studio Max, Autodesk Maya, MotionBuilder,Adobe Creative Suite, Zbrushs).

    • 3+ years experience using scripting languages (e.g., such as LUA, XML, MEL, PyMEL) or other visual scripting tools.

    Technical Art IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
