    Warner Chappell Production Music (WCPM) is a worldwide leader within the production and custom music industry with over 35 years of experience and success. Owned by legendary music publisher Warner Chappell Music and part of the Warner Music Group family, WCPM releases over 350 new albums each year spanning every genre imaginable. In total, WCPM represents 150,000+ unique tracks spanning pop, orchestral, country, hip hop, indie, indigenous and archival genres.

    In addition to its catalog, WCPM produces custom music for TV, film, advertising, documentaries, promos, trailers, and video games, having composed works for Justice League, Wonder Woman, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Suicide Squad, various projects for ESPN, Disney, ABC, Fox, NBC and Netlifx to name a few. WCPM is the leading provider for music to local news stations across the U.S. and the recipient of many awards including Clios, Emmys, Tellys, Addys and Promax awards.

    Your role

    We are looking for a Manager, Music Creative to work out of our NY office in a fast-paced, dynamic, creative environment. This role will report to the Director, Music Creative, Warner Chappell Production Music, and will work closely with the licensing team as well as conducting music searches on a daily basis, catering to all of our US and Canada-based clients in the entertainment and advertising industries.

    Here you'll get to:

    • Provide daily music searches for clients, responding knowledgeably and accurately.

    • Support the entire Licensing team with their music requests and projects

    • Work closely with the Marketing team to curate Featured Playlists for the WCPM site

    • Work closely with the Music Production team to research custom music and customization opportunities

    • Work with production team to forecast music trends within our industry

    • Research music trends of current shows and compile playlists and bins to client pitch

    • Assess gaps in catalogs offered

    • Assist in A&R for artist catalog, as well as review catalog submissions

    We'd love it if you also had:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in music studies

    • Minimum of 2 years' experience working for a music library

    • Depth of knowledge across music genres

    • Ability to work efficiently and well under pressure

    • Ability to be professional, efficient and effective when dealing with clients within a creative environment

    • Ability to be proactive in servicing clients including anticipating needs of ongoing projects (shows, video games, etc.)

    • Prior experience scoring entire programs with production music strongly preferred

    • Ability to present and lead discussions analyzing industry music needs

    • Capacity to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed

    • Ability to respond to rapidly changing priorities

    • History and talent for identifying strong creative material with experience in the Entertainment Industry

    Salary Range

    Annual Rate: $65,000-$71,000 Annually

    Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
