The Marketing Communications Editor, supports Diagnostics Global Marketing by managing and coordinating GRP process (which is responsible for ensuring that Grifols promotional and educational materials products/distributed by Grifols are compliant with stringent country, state, and company regulations and policies); providing expertise with editorial material reviews and assisting with the creation of marketing copy. Demonstrates initiative by implementing consistent standards of GRP review, spelling and grammatical accuracy of content, validation of references and trademarks, adherence to company branding and design standards, and resolution of editorial issues. Maintains, documentations and archives GRP review decisions in the promotional review system. Assists in the development of creative copy that is consistent and effective for marketing materials, messaging, words, and audio that accompany promotional visuals. Additional activities may include production management of promotional materials, operational support activities, and other duties as assigned.
Primary responsibilities for role:
Reviews materials submitted for GRP review. Reviews require compliance with product/company brand guidelines, messaging requirements, and editorial standards as well as accuracy of spelling and grammar, verified reference quotations, content clarity and organization.
Facilitates GRP reviews, accurately documenting revisions required by members. Secures agreement of GRP members. Drives compliance with SOP to streamline work processes
Receives submissions from initiators, reviews for completeness, distributes to appropriate GRP reviewers and ensures that reviews are completed/returned in a timely manner
Resolves any editorial content issues remaining after GRP reviews. Communicates GRP decisions to initiators. Serves as point-of-contact for questions
Reviews post-GRP submissions of revised materials. Ensures content reflects all GRP-required revisions as well as overall intent of GRP
Creates, maintains, updates, and distributes all documentation related to editorial processes
Assists in writing/editing marketing copy and content as part of marketing communications team on a wide range of projects.
Command of copyediting skills including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntactic rules of the English language. Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical/scientific terminology/data

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in marketing, promotions or related work
Experience in editing documentation for a highly technical audience including work with promotional materials
Experience with federal regulations governing pharmaceutical advertising and the American Medical Association (AMA) rules of style
Experience in advertising copywriting and working with product brand guidelines is a plus
Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat Professional and Microsoft Office
Experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment is a plus
English (fluency in Spanish is a plus
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or related field required
Minimum five years experience in a combination of US and international marketing roles in the blood bank and/or diagnostics markets.
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
