    The Marketing Events Specialist is responsible for two major tactical aspects of the Casino Marketing department within Global Casino Operations. The Casino Marketing Specialist will have primary responsibility for supporting the coordination of over 300 events annually - with an estimated annual revenue of $150 million - ensuring that these events are delivered and executed in a consistent manner onboard our ships as well as shore-side. As such, the Marketing Events Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining new processes to support this function, as well as regular reporting of these events, including pre-event revenue & cost projections, and post-event Profit and Loss reports. This individual will also be responsible for the merchandising process for these Casino events, including ensuring that inventory of these items is adequately and efficiently managed. It will also be the responsibility of the Marketing Events Specialist to develop and oversee the contract negotiation process for the Casino Marketing department within Global Casino Operations. Their responsibility will be centered along ensuring that these contracts are completed in a speedy fashion, while ensuring that all compliance factors are considered and follows company guidelines. To this end it will be the Marketing Events Specialist's responsibility to implement and maintain a new process to facilitate this for all stakeholders, as well as ensuring that these contracts are regularly reviewed. In addition to these main functions, it will be the Marketing Events Specialist's role to support the Casino Marketing team and Global Casino Operations with various other administrative tasks as deemed appropriate by the Manager, Global Casino Event Marketing.

    Essential Functions:

    • Development and review of Marketing Communication.

    • Coordination of shipboard and shoreside events.

    • Budget Planning and Reconciliation.

    • Contract Management and compliance review.

    • Administration and scheduling.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

    • Discipline/Major: Marketing

    • Required Years and Area of Professional Experience: 5 years marketing, promotions, event management and/or cruise industry experience.

    • Critical Professional Related Technical/Computer Skills: Computer skills, including email & office tools. Experience writing copy and use of software such as Photoshop and Illustrator

    • Other Requirements: Work effectively within a diverse team, proven ability to manage multiple projects.

    • Preferred Experience & Type: Event Management Experience or Cruise Experience preferred

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Project management tools; CRM tools, design tools, survey tools

    Tactical Decision-Making: Decisions focus on intermediate-term issues. The purpose of decisions made at this level are to help move CCL closer to reaching strategic goals. Outcomes are predictable. After a decision is made by Top Executive Leadership, the next phase is to take the needed steps to implement it. Examples are: The amount of money required to implement, which advertising agency to promote a new service or to provide an incentive plan to employees to encourage increased revenue. Examples: Supports the merchandising of casino promotional items and managing costs for these. Oversees the contract negotiation process for acquisition efforts.

    Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. May need to stand for long periods of time.

    Travel: Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely. 25-50% with non-shipboard travel likely.

    Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

    The range for this role's base salary is $55,000-$65,000. Offers to the selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
