JOB SUMMARYThe Master Control Operator also known as Broadcast Operations Specialist will be primarily responsiblefor monitoring the on-air signal (video/audio), ensuring overall quality of scheduled elements and confirming the on-air accuracy of the Traffic log against the automation playlist. The successful candidate will be assigned to the night shift working from 10pm - 6am.RESPONSIBILITIES
Well versed in Broadcast operations and procedural requirements to confirm accuracy and on-air readiness of scheduled material by checking the Traffic log and automation playlist.
Monitor the on-air signal (video/audio) ensuring overall quality of scheduled elements.
Operational expertise in broadcasting automation systems, including but not limited to Morpheus (Snell automation/Pro-Bell); Miranda Graphics; Miranda Automation (ITX) and Omneon Video Servers.
Ability to work under pressure, react promptly to operational changes and multitasking.
Be able to recover on-air signal accurately in the shortest time possible.
Schedule must be flexible; this is a 24/7 operation, must be available for any last minute assignments and able to work various hours, including weekends, holidays, tropical storm coverage, etc.
Detailed and accurate reporting of all incidents including on-air discrepancies.
Familiarity with Broadcast Operations basic standard operating procedures.
Capacity to meet deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS- Prior experience in a Master Control environment with 2 years of experience in asimilar position is preferred. - Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish) written and oral.- High School diploma required and Bachelor's degree in Communication, Radio/TV/Film or an equivalent combination of skills preferred.- Strong communication skills, proactive, well-organized and detail-oriented.
