Join us.Country United StatesState FloridaCity OrlandoResponsibilitiesQualifications/Requirements• A minimum of two years' experience as a TV Meteorologist• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science• A minimum of two years' experience using and maintaining software from Barons, WSI, Weather Central or equivalent software.• Proven experience using forecasting tools including Doppler Radar and Satellite Maps• Proven ability to ad-lib effortlessly while under pressure during weather breaking news and during newscasts• Able to work a Flexible Schedule and Shifts including mornings and weekends or as needed for severe weather coverage• Must have excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills in Spanish• Must be willing to work at the station in Orlando, FL• Must be 18 years or older• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution ProgramDesired Characteristics• Experience with severe weather coverage, including but not limited to hurricanes, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, flooding and ice events• Passion to be a part of a major weather event, no matter when it happens.• BS degree in meteorology preferred• Compelling on-air presence - crisp, clear, and confident delivery in Spanish• Should thrive working under the intense deadline pressure of television weather.• Technologically savvy with strong computer skills (working knowledge of WSI system preferred.)• Strong leadership qualities and self-motivation.• Understanding of the demands of an on-air HD environmentNoticesNBCUniversal's policy is to provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, gender identity or expression, age, national origin or ancestry, citizenship, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, veteran status, membership in the uniformed services, genetic information, or any other basis protected by applicable law.
