    Primary Function

    As an Art Director in Enterprise Creative Solutions (ECS) you will work closely with a team to understand client creative briefs and develop strategic approaches that answer the requests and achieve desired business goals. You will be responsible for designing production-ready layouts for various consumer banking marketing channels including, direct mail, email, sales support materials and customer statement marketing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quick, clear communication that follows and supports the company brand tone and visual identification system. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and collaborating with the team to create unique strategic approaches, presentation decks with creative rationale and presenting the work to internal clients for their consideration and approval. You must be able to follow the design parameters established to ensure production efficiencies and accurately represent the brand while pushing the limits to stand out and sell in a competitive environment. In this role you will be collaborating with writers, email developers, production managers, research specialists, art buyers and account leads. Your goal will be to deliver strategic, attractive solutions for various financial products and services across many lines of business and become a subject matter expert.     Duties & Responsibilities

    • Own projects start to finish as a lead designer across a variety of mediums that have a focus on direct marketing and email - participate in client kickoff, conceptualize/ideate and collaborate with writers, developers and production managers. Develop ideas through to full design and share through established agency processes, and finalize for client delivery.

    • Interpret and implement the brand expression and create solutions that support the desired brand experience.

    • Ability to understand target audience's needs and behaviors while incorporating best practices and channel knowledge to promote advanced solutions for the target audience that will drive results.

    • Knowledge of channel best practices, primarily email and direct mail, and be current with the latest technologies used to drive efficiency and quality.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Flexibility to execute within design standards and established processes while driving unique, strategic creative executions.

    • Prior experience working with or for financial institutions.

    • Working understanding of HTML, CSS, web standards and their impacts on creative and design with a strong understanding of the differences between email and web capabilities.

    • Understanding of high-volume print specifications to drive efficiency and work within budget parameters.

    • An enthusiastic approach with an infectiously positive point of view, and are a highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic.

    • Organization skills to maintain job folders, assets and other project-related documentation.

    • Show the flexibility to fulfill design, execution and testing roles.

    • Agile methodology.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.

    • 5-10 years of experience as an art director with print and email design experience.
