Contract Opportunity: Large Engineering & Construction client is looking for a mid level or Sr. level Community Relations/Public Involvement Specialist with 5-15+ years of experience to work in the greater Atlanta Metro area. These are long term Contract assignment that could turn into a direct hire job for the right candidate. Ideal candidate has experience supporting large engineering & construction projects by being a Public Involvement Specialist. ** must be local to Atlanta **

location: Atlanta, Georgia

salary: $25 - 42 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

• Work with the public directly to manage and resolve complex issues associated with construction activities

• Willing to travel within the greater Atlanta area on a daily basis

• Interface with the client, the public and several Atlanta regulatory agencies involved in construction projects

• Knock on doors and update owners of the construction project and answer any questions they may have

• Identify any issues or complaints that come up and find a resolution internally and then communicate that to the person with the complaint

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans, which include door to door outreach, open houses, public information sessions and educational materials that are distributed to affected landowners, the media, municipal officials, state agencies and other key stakeholders
