    What you will do

    The Public Relations and Digital Content Manager will develop content driving consistent communications across multiple external channels to strengthen our identity and corporate reputation, help drive the success of our commercial strategies, and improve customer and employee value propositions. The position develops content and materials - and supports engaging events - for Volvo Group North America, Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA) that deliver a powerful, personalized, and seamless experience for stakeholders - and result in a positive view of our company and organization. This role reports to the Director of Public Relations.

    The Public Relations and Digital Content Manager will

    • Write external and internal communications, including press releases, talking points, website content, social media posts, intranet articles, e-board communications and stories.

    • Storyboard, write, design, edit and proofread content for external channels, including digital, collateral, presentations, advertising and signage.

    • Compile weekly press coverage reports for Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks North America and Volvo Group North America.

    • Be involved in the design and execution of a clear, differentiated digital communications strategy that can grow brand awareness, drive sustainable internal and external audience engagement, and support the company's communication and business objectives.

    • Develop content and maintain schedule for corporate social media channels (Facebook, Volvo Group LinkedIn, and X).

    • Work with Volvo Group brands to curate content from colleagues, customers, dealers, and other stakeholders for the purposes of developing stories, social content and more.

    • Work with department leadership to support the planning and implementation of virtual, hybrid and in-person special events/projects, including but not limited to press events..

    • Analyze website traffic and social media engagement utilizing tools such as Adobe Analytics and Hootsuite. Provide recommendations to enhance user experience and engagement.

    • Be familiar with and able to use all departmental processes for distribution and archiving of various corporate communications to internal/external audiences, via channels including the intranet, electronic bulletin boards, email lists, and SharePoint sites.

    Who are you?

    A bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related fields is required with at least 8 years of experience. You are a talented writer and have a strong knowledge of and confidence in the use of social media and website platforms (X, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn), and experience working with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite). Graphic design and previous transportation experience desirable.

    • Seasoned in vendor negotiations, agency relations and resource management.

    • Thrives in a diverse and fast-paced team environment; effectively communicates with stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach and optimal result.

    • Experience in working with top management and cross-culturally.

    • Seasoned in Microsoft Office Suite and 365, advance PowerPoint capabilities, collaboration forums and apps, video production/basic editing abilities, image editing, conferencing and chat forums, podcasts, planning and measurement tools and graphic design applications (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, In Design, Photoshop, Acrobat).
