    Primary Function

    We're looking for someone to coordinate the research, acquisition, production, presentation, negotiation, copyright management, purchasing and tracking of images for advertising and marketing collateral. This includes research and management of outside vendors such as photographers, fine artists, illustrators and stock image sources.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Works with all agency functions internal and external clients to develop visual strategies and concepts for advertising and marketing collateral

    • Manages the creation of artwork (primarily photography & illustration) to provide visual solutions

    • Researches, sources, and identifies artists to be commissioned by the team

    • Provides comprehensive project management including job specification, budget parameters and communication of timelines for deadlines

    • Produces internal and external photo shoots and manages budget, props, location, etc.

    • Assists in the management of image libraries

    • Tracks copyright information, vendor information and licensing parameters for all assets

    • Acts as vendor partner and manages litigation risk

    • Maintains an awareness of visual trends

    • Assists in providing Art Buying education to the agency as needed

    • Adheres to established processes to ensure compliance on all jobs

    • Curates assets within the Enterprise DAM

    • Remains flexible and shares common goals with non-creative functions in the Agency

    • Resolves conflicts within teams with grace and patience

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Proficient in copyright law, negotiation and visual communication

    • Strong working knowledge of financial advertising

    • Demonstrated excellent leadership, organizational, communication and presentation skills

    • Team oriented

    • Ability to lead and influence in a cross-functional fast-paced team environment

    • Able to handle direction and criticism

    • Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on Mac and PC platforms

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

    • 7-10 years Art Buying work experience

    • Experience in client and vendor relations, along with negotiating skills and budget management
