  • The Team

    We are seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to join American Tower's Human Resources ("HR") team. The HR team works cross-functionally to help the organization reach its goals by attracting, engaging, and developing people within a culture that inspires excellence. As a Senior Specialist, you will help develop and successfully execute communications programs for the U.S. Tower division that foster an understanding of business goals, improve cross-functional collaboration, inspire, and engage. You will research, write, and edit impactful communications delivered across multiple channels, including our employee intranet and social media. This role requires creativity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to write and edit for various formats and audiences.

    What You Need to Succeed

    • Bachelor's degree preferred; between 3-5 years of related experience required.

    • Experience with intranet administration and/or social media content development preferred.

    • Prior experience tracking and analyzing internal communication performance data to make informed decisions preferred.

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to create effective and engaging written, oral, and web content across various platforms for internal audiences.

    • High attention to detail across all work deliverables.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels and in all locations to professionally achieve results.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and an ability to learn new software applications.

    • Strong organizational and proactive follow-up skills; ability to manage deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously, organize applicable timelines and projects, and follow up with internal and external customer needs.

    • Event planning experience preferred.

    • Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests and to collaborate with others to develop high-quality solutions.

    • Approximately 5% travel may be required to support the position's responsibilities.

    What You Can Offer Us

    • Develop engaging, creative communications, working closely with subject matter experts and internal partners/customers for broad and varied audiences, using multi-media formats.

    • Own the U.S. Tower division's intranet administration, including developing and posting high-quality, user-friendly content.

    • Provide leadership to department intranet administrators to ensure department-specific intranet content remains current.

    • Create and execute engagement-focused DEI communication campaigns, and related projects, to foster community and inclusion.

    • Support the execution of the employer brand strategy, including the development of LinkedIn content and other tasks.

    • Collaborate across the organization to support the delivery of meetings/events that facilitate employee connection to the Company's goals and business strategy.

    • Track and analyze performance metrics of internal communication materials, identifying new ways to drive engagement.

    • Other duties as assigned.
