    Job Overview:

    Join our team as a Senior Graphic Designer, where you'll play a vital role in crafting visually captivating proposals and developing brand assets that support federal, state, and local government and commercial client proposals. With a focus on creativity, collaboration, and attention to detail, you'll contribute to the success of our creative team by bringing our proposals to life through innovative graphics, layouts, and branding.

    This position reports to the Creative Services Manager within the Proposals Center. As part of our design team, you'll collaborate with graphic designers, desktop publishers, production staff, APTIM's marketing team, and external vendors to create dynamic graphic designs in support of proposal activities. In addition, you'll work closely with proposal teams consisting of proposal managers, capture managers, and subject matter experts. Together, we strive to deliver winning solutions in response to our clients' Requests for Proposals (RFP) and ensure the APTIM brand remains at the forefront of innovation.

    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

    • Lead and execute multiple creative projects from concept through completion with shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment

    • Create unique branding, professional page layouts and support in InDesign, and highly technical graphics that highlight proposal features, benefits, and differentiators to craft winning solutions for client RFPs

    • Design proposal covers, tabs, charts, graphs, photo treatments, templates, and other technical infographics

    • Offer creative solutions and support throughout the creative process

    • Participate in storyboarding and strategy meetings

    • Receive input and direction from multiple stakeholders and creatives, while also possessing the capability to articulate design choices and offer valuable insights and feedback to enhance the work of others

    • Manage multiple creative projects with strict deadlines while balancing priorities effectively

    • Develop and implement creative strategies within brand guidelines and proposal requirements, ensuring cohesion while also fostering innovation and creativity to strengthen and elevate the brand within proposals

    • Maintain familiarity with print and electronic media standards and delivery

    • Ability to sketch and conceptualize ideas effectively

    • Help guide creative solutions to the forefront of innovation by seeking exposure beyond proposal contexts

    • Understand the difference between digital and print media and formats and collaborate with internal production staff and/or external print vendors

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, visual communications, or relevant field and/or experience

    • 6+ years of progressive graphic design experience

    • 2+ years of experience in proposal graphic development within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)

    • Basic understanding of federal and commercial proposal development

    • Be a self-starter who excels in time management and thrives under pressure

    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint

    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

    • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

    • A portfolio showcasing relevant work is required

    • Occasional travel, evening, and weekend work as necessary

    Additional Desirable Qualifications:

    • Experience with photorealistic rendering and 3D software in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction sector (SketchUp, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, or similar software)

    • Photography experience (headshots and/or product photography)

    • Logo design and brand creation experience

    • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certifications and/or continued education in proposal-related subjects, including APMP Graphics Micro-Certification and APMP Foundation-level Certification

    • Familiarity with ADA standards for accessible design or willingness to acquire and share knowledge in this area

    • Proficient in designing using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools or eager to learn and share knowledge in this area
