  • Minimum qualifications:+ 10 years of leadership experience in technical writing, content strategy or web development.+ Experience recruiting, building, and managing teams.+ Technical experience related to enterprise application development, cloud services, cloud developer experience, or software infrastructure.Preferred qualifications:+ Leadership experience at a cloud or software company.+ Experience influencing, communicating, and driving change across organizational and cross-functional boundaries.+ Ability to use benchmarks and performance metrics to track progress while maintaining focus on business impact.+ Ability to engage on technical requirements for marketing analytics and go-to market strategies.+ Excellent written and spoken communication skills.+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and technical data analysis skills.Technical writers communicate complex information clearly, concisely and accurately, and without relying on jargon. As a technical writer, your role involves tasks such as writing conceptual overviews and procedures, reading and writing example code, or updating help center queries and FAQs. Technical writers play a big part at Google. They are a key link between engineers, marketing associates, developer advocates, as well as all the external users and developers, tying together many vital but disparate parts of the Google ecosystem.Using your extensive technical and leadership experience, you manage a team of writers, setting direction, giving feedback, collaborating internally and lending specific content expertise.+ Provide vision, focus, and leadership for multiple technical writing teams.+ Lead, mentor, and grow a global team of technical writers and documentation managers.+ Drive measurement, analysis, and insight on the effectiveness of content to shape the technology roadmap and resource planning.+ Partner across product, engineering, and developer marketing to evolve our technical documentation and content strategy.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
