    The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) organization has a mission to create marketplace demand and drive commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative products, partnerships, marketing, and customer experiences.

Powered by industry-leading creative, we are focused on developing forward-thinking ideas and working across channels to create end-to-end experiences in digital and beyond.The Senior Studio Designer reporting to Design Director will be responsible for designing best-in-class creative and marketing communications supporting Creative Directors, Art Directors and Senior Designers. Besides having proficient design skills, the candidate will be a key member of a creative team working with clients that demand perfection.

    Responsibilities:

    • Expertly leverage our brand visual identity to design marketing creative for a range of print and digital marketing materials.

    • Be an expert with a strong passion for all things digital, print, package design, branding and VI.

    • Expert ability to visually communicate concepts in design, realistically translating physical printing techniques in digital collateral.

    • Be a passionate advocate for creative, design, and marketing trends, with proven ability to infuse trends into creative work.

    • Staying updated on industry trends, software updates, and advancements in digital and print technology.

    • For print collateral, collaborating with the team to ensure that designs are optimized for print.

    • Making adjustments to artwork in Photoshop as needed; resizing, color adjusting, and retouching images.

    • Expert ability to work closely with designers, art directors, creative directors, and our in-house production team.

    • Be able to deliver high-quality work efficiently and in a timely manner.

    • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

    • Maintaining organized files and documentation for each project, including version control and archival purposes.

    • Be a passionate advocate for the customer, providing creative guidance to internal partners and helping to build a strong internal culture.

    Qualifications:

    • 4 years of professional design experience with a focus on holistic marketing journeys, branding, visualidentity systems, print design, and digital design.

    • You are obsessed with detail and love to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • Proficient with Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat), Sketch or Figma, and Microsoft office.

    • Proven ability to implement brand guidelines and deliver bold, effective designs across digital, traditional, and experiential mediums.

    • You are an expert in all things digital, social Branding/VI and emails.

    • Knowledge of printing processes, techniques, and file formats is a plus.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and an ability to present work concisely in internal review and stakeholder meetings.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

    • Strong understanding of color theory and typography.

    • Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and lead creative team members.

    • Demonstrated expertise, including experience designing for and innovating within content management systems is a plus.

    • Knowledge of working in and organizing Digital Asset Management systems is a plus (e.g. Frontify)

    • Ability to work with a Project Management tool (e.g. Workfront)

    Qualifications

    Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits

    The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
