    Simon & Schuster will be offering a sneak peek behind the scenes by offering a select group a chance to participate in a week-long virtual careers in book publishing lecture series FOR FREE. To be eligible for this program, you must be either a 2023 or 2024 college/university graduate from either an undergraduate or graduate program. This program will offer a glimpse into every aspect of the business through the voices and stories of our own employees in a wide assortment of departments. What does it really mean to be an editor? How does a book get acquired? What's involved in creating a marketing plan? What goes on in subsidiary rights? What do the salespeople do? These are just some of the questions we'll answer as we take you virtually inside our building and the many departments that work on getting that next bestseller on the

    bookshelf and into your hands.

    This week long virtual program will be offered the week of June 3, 2024 and run over five days. Ten unique sessions will be offered; two each day (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. EST and 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. EST).

    To be considered for the program, please submit a resume along with a cover letter explaining why this program would be of interest to you. Please note that you must be either a 2023 or 2024 graduate to be eligible.

    Please note that due to what we anticipate will be a very large response, we will not be able to respond individually to all applicants.

    Applicants accepted to the program will be notified by May 3, 2024. All selected applicants will be required to sign a participation agreement.
