    Solutions Expert/Proposal Technical Writer

    GDIT is currently seeking a Solutions Expert/Proposal Technical Writer to join our team! This position will sit in our Herndon, VA offices or work remotely, as permitted. In this role you will be responsible for the development, planning, and writing of compliant and compelling proposal content. As a key member of the proposal team, you will support GDIT Capture Managers and Proposal Managers in the planning and development of proposal win themes, and identification of discriminators, benefits, and key features of solutions on proposals across the entire enterprise.

    Duties include but are not limited to

    • Serve as Volume Lead and/or Lead Writer for Technical Volumes of classified and non-classified proposals at the Intelligence & Homeland Security Division of GDIT ranging in value from $25M to $1B+. Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in developing technical sections of federal proposals is a key requirement for this position.

    • Work closely with Solutions Architects and Subject Matter Experts and operations staff to collect data required for the development of Technical Volumes.

    • Write, edit, and revise proposal materials and coordinate with technical and program personnel to ensure accuracy.

    • Analyze RFP requirements and participate in solution meetings.

    • Participate in color team reviews.

    • Participate in the continuing quality improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Disciplines, Business Administration, English, Journalism, or a related technical or business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

    • 15+ years of federal proposal writing for a government contractor or equivalent technical experience.

    • Experience as a Volume Lead, Book Boss, or Lead Technical Proposal Writer.

    • Experience writing Technical Volumes in support of IC customers preferred.

    Security Clearance:

    • Secret required, TS/SCI w/Poly preferred

    Desired Qualifications:

    • APMP Certification

    • PMP

    • ITIL4
