Responsible for the direction and planning of the Network Maintenance department. This includes establishing policies and procedures, and practices and standards of performance in alignment with the organization's business strategy. This person also develops and manages the budget. Proactively anticipates obstacles or issues, and then identifies and proposes solutions while understanding their financial impact on the business and experience for our employees and customers. When planning and setting goals, this person uses data driven analysis to create operational excellence.
This person evaluates areas of improvement across people, process, and technology to improve network quality, reliability, and performance. This includes catalyzing change and cultivating next steps and resolution. Person is responsible for ensuring current training and continued education of Network Maintenance Technicians including all required resources and tools needed for technicians as well as the education of managers and staff. Responsible for partnering with Division and Regional teams to plan, motivate, and influence resources to achieve set goals.
The right candidate establishes strong interpersonal relationships and builds diverse technical teams to shape the direction and create an inclusive and enthusiastic culture. This person communicates multi-dimensional challenges into simple, organized, clear data that the field can act upon to drive change as well as presents plans and data to upper leadership. This person stays up to date on changing security practices and coordinates with the IT department as needed.
In addition to the development, review and maintenance of day-to-day business policies, procedures, and legal requirements, this individual is required to ensure compliance with federal and company safety, health, and employment regulations.
This is a regionwide role in which travel is required with on-call responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities - Experience Necessary:
Familiarity with network infrastructure and security is a must
Strong technical background with a minimum of five years' experience with Network Administration and Network Security
