    Who we are: We are the Oracle Cloud Foundation Services Program Office, responsible for the development, architecture, and management of Knowledge and Content for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Our goal is to make use of, and present to others, our data, information, and knowledge in a way that gives us a competitive edge.

    What we do: The Cloud Foundations Services Program Office supports all of the technology teams and their partners. We drive initiatives related to Cloud Foundation Services, one of which is Information Architecture and Knowledge Management.

    We currently use the following tools and technologies:

    • Service Desk

    • Jira

    • CSS

    • HTML

    • Jira Query

    • JavaScript

    • Confluence (with an emphasis on reuse macros)

    We also use agile software methodologies but if you aren't familiar with any, don't worry - we will teach you.

    What you will do: You will work alongside an Information Architect, as well as members of the greater Cloud Native Engineering team, to identify Knowledge gaps and opportunities for improvement. You will create search-optimized, readable content which will entail high-level writing and editing skills. You will work with Software Engineers to ensure knowledge content is correct and reflects the high quality of our code. You will also work with Service Area Directors to gather issue analytics and ensure our Knowledge Bases are effective.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • English / Journalism / Technical Writing Major with a focus and/or minor in IT related content or IT major with a minor in English / Journalism / Technical Writing

    • Candidates are able to work full time for both the Summer and Fall Terms

    • Wicked Smart with a passion to explore and document cutting-edge business concepts and technologies. You don't need to be a programmer, but you do need to understand how they need to work and what code looks like.

    • Impeccable written English and editing skills - someone who enjoys writing and editing.

    • Team player with strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. We believe the HOW is as important as the WHAT

    • Ability to learn new terms and tools quickly

    • Ability to follow style and usage guidelines

    Completed third year of undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related area of study. Strong academic achievement. Strong interest in technical area of study.
