    WSP is currently initiating a search for a Technical Writer for our Baltimore office. This role will be working at our client's office in Laurel, MD . Be involved in projects with our PM/CM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

    Your Impact

    JOB DUTIES

    • Assist with specifications updates to current CSI Master Format

    • Assist with Specifications review and revisions.

    • Maintain awareness of industry reference standards, codes, products, and resources

    • Contribute to the development of best practices for specifications and share knowledge with team members

    • Produces technical information and guidelines in simple/easy to understand language

    • Writes clear and concise policies and procedures.

    Who you Are

    MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school Diploma

    • 7 years' experience in technical writing in the construction field with a focus on construction specifications.

    • Experience in the water/wastewater field.

    • Minimum one CSI Certification(CCS,CDT,CCCA)

    • Advanced knowledge of specifications and codes related to pipeline and facilities design, materials, construction work

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills

    • Experience working with Specification's software: MasterFormat, SpecLink or similar.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction or a related field.

    This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP.
