Learn more at ~~~. Job Description Technical Writer: We are currently seeking a highly skilled technical writer to join our team. In this position, you will create easy-to-understand user content and product documentation to increase product clarity, performance, and usability. In this position, you will also be responsible for the administration of Atlassian's Jira & Confluence, and/or Microsoft SharePoint site that are used for the documentation of services we render to our client. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to define and implement JIRA workflows and a Confluence workspace to assist in our goals of creating a best in class digital documentation processes. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business area experts, Developers, and various client teams, to create and maintain solutions documentation as required per the various projects. The preference is for this role to be embedded in our Boston office. Duties & Responsibilities: + Work with internal teams to understand product documentation requirements + Create strong content that fulfills client and company standards and audience goals + Write straight-forward user tutorials and interface text + Utilize a variety of media forms; include images and charts + Analyze current content and make improvements as necessary + Gather information by interviewing Subject Matter Experts and write various proposal sections, including technical approach, executive summaries, past performance/qualification summaries. + Coordinate with management personnel to ensure accuracy. + Create document flow diagrams and other graphics to illustrate technical concepts. + Maintain quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone. + Ability to determine project requirements, perform complex writing, copy editing, technical editing and documentation design activities. + Ability to create document structure and graphics at project level. + Utilize companies standardized templates for functional requirements document, technical architecture documentation, and user stories + Assist with development of training documentation that can be used to roll out JIRA, Confluence, and the requirements documents to appropriate audience + Develops, produces, and maintains a variety of complex technical and user documentation. Required Education and Other Credentials: + BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience + Certification, formal training, experience or demonstrated competency may be evaluated and considered in lieu of the educational requirements + 3+ years of relevant experience with technical writing (JIRA and Confluence administration and knowledge of implementation across an organizatio). Required Experience and Skills: + 2+ years of Healthcare experience is preferred; or 3+ years of technical/systems experience is preferred preferably Health Care or Government Services + Self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines with limited supervision + Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills, including the ability to lead working sessions and workshops and the ability to convey highly technical concepts in simple terms, in many cases such that the content can be understood by both technical and non-technical readers. + Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams or independently as needed. + Experience with technical writing for controlled documents like Procedures and SOPs, creating and editing technical customer-facing documents, including user manuals, implementation guides, how to's, FAQ's, service manuals, etc. + Familiar with latest IT terminologies and software development methodologies such as the standard SDLC for development. + Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel and SharePoint as well as Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, and other graphic applications + Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with internal and external parties + Must demonstrate strong editing & formatting experience with a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness + Must have experience with reporting capabilities and functionality within JIRA. + Established track record of developing requirements documentation to support development processes as well as previous experience in writing proposal, RFP or RFI is strongly preferred + Working knowledge of documentation required under Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA 3.0) used by Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Closing Conduent is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, gender identity, gender expression, sex/gender, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, medical condition, use of a guide dog or service animal, military/veteran status, citizenship status, basis of genetic information, or any other group protected by law.
