The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual storytelling, with experience in creative agency or in-house brand management and program management. This individual will be responsible for bringing stories to life through video production, animation and creative writing.

    Reporting to the Director of Integrated Media, the Visual Communications Specialist will bring important digital/technical skills to the team. He or she will be joining a Communications team that s passionate about our mission, collaborative and creative, and excited to share the BAE Systems story with the world.

    Responsibilities

    • Conceptualize and produce engaging visual content for various platforms, including social media, websites, internal communications, and marketing materials;

    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project objectives and develop creative solutions that meet their needs;

    • Serve as a videographer, capturing high-quality footage and audio for projects ranging from promotional videos to documentaries;

    • Manage the production process from pre-production planning to post-production editing, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget;

    • Utilize animation techniques to enhance storytelling and create visually compelling narratives.

    • Write scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs that effectively communicate key messages and engage the target audience;

    • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in visual storytelling, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our creative output;

    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations;

    • Collaborate with other creative professionals, including an in-house video team, and graphic designers, to deliver cohesive and impactful campaigns.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in film, media production, communications, or related field;

    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in visual storytelling, with a strong portfolio showcasing videography, animation, and creative writing skills;

    • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar tools;

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members;

    • Passion for visual storytelling and a creative mindset, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics;

    • Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment;

    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements;

    • Experience with brand development and content strategy is a plus.

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Agency or in-house brand experience.

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
