Broadcast Associate- CBS Sports (Freelance)

CBS Sports Network is seeking an Original Programming & Features Broadcast Associate with a strong creative sensibility, well-developed writing skills, organizational skills, experience with Adobe Premiere, and a passion for sports. This is a full-time temporary freelance hybrid position with 2-3 days in the office expected each week. This job entails extensive travel, weekend work and flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Producers and Associate Producers in the production and post-production of long and short-form original content.

• Research footage, photos, and music for use in features and documentaries.

• Research facts and stories.

• Assist with field shoots, carry equipment, take notes, help with logistics.

• Manage and organize releases.

• Submit music, footage, and photo clearance paperwork.

• Assist in the management of the Original Programming archive.

• Transcode and organize footage, maintain footage logs.

• Maintain gear closet.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree

• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere

• Extensive sports knowledge.

• Strong writing skills.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment.

• Ability to work within a group and be a good teammate.

Hiring Salary Range: $42400.0 - 53000.0.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
