    Koniag Professional Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist with a Secret Clearance to support KPS and our government customer at the Pentagon. This is a hybrid on/offsite position.

    Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

    • Assist in the development and execution of a strategic communications plan.

    • Produce strategic communications materials such as articles, brochures, and presentations.

    • Develop, produce, edit, print, ship and maintain digital copies of materials.

    • Coordinate and lead recurring Acquisition Strategic Communications Integration Group teleconferences.

    • Participate in Army Communications Working Groups, Focus Groups, and specific event-related media engagement planning groups.

    • Facilitate of participation in industry- related events and engagements

    • Serve as liaison with the Army Office of the Chief of Public Affairs, PEOs, PMs, Army Staff, Offices of Legislative and Budget Liaison to support the development, staffing, promulgation and direct local, regional, national, and international media engagement of official Army Acquisition positions.

    • Seek, secure, and coordinate public speaking and media engagements, providing direct support to the planning, oversight, and execution of participation in trade shows, industry forums, think tanks, and other similar physical and virtual informative and ceremonial/commemorative speaking engagements, to include various Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) and National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) engagements.

    Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Bachelor's degree plus ten (10) years of experience providing strategic communications support in a professional communication environment.

    • Previous experience with defense-related public affairs is desired.

    • Possess basic knowledge of and understanding of Defense Acquisition.

    • Must possess excellent customer relation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with and for senior level Army officials and assist them in the process of communicating a synchronized organizational message.

    • Demonstrated competence in research and planning skills to support media and outreach activities.

    • Understands and applies the Associated Press' Style Guide to products, as appropriate.

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and track tasks and develop well- written articles and reports.

    • Ability to travel if needed.

    This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

    The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
